A comment from Susie, a faithful reader as she calls herself, has prompted me to write this. For those of you who read my Cave Creek Cowboy series, it’s getting long. I’m writing the ninth book now. It’s the ninth book, but the tenth story: There are two stories in Cave Creek Cowboy Christmas.

It’s Bev’s story. If you can’t remember who Bev is right off…she’s one of the six naked women from Cave Creek Cowboy Too Many Brides. She also had a cameo in Trailer Trash.

And while Bev may have been one of the most boring characters in the past…spoiled little rich girl without much depth, she’s about to do something bolder than any of her friends.

SInce I’ve already jinxed it…

This book was released almost a year ago and just yesterday I mentioned to Rachel, a local writer, that it was listed in All Romance’s Top Ten in Romantic Comedy.

Hence the jinx…for the first time in a long time it dropped to number eleven. The same thing happened with Wild Cowboy Domination.

As soon as I mentioned how well it was doing…BAM!

It dropped in the Shapeshifter list.

Brit Blaise’s WILD COWBOY DOMINATION captivated me from the very first page. The sex between Ray and Rachel is smoldering and full of emotional appeal. I really loved the the scenes where the various shifters reveal their alternate forms and Rachel learns about how she’s been deceived by her ‘family.’ There’s no shortage of heart pounding interactions that will keep you guessing and eagerly reading to find out what will happen next.

My last two Romantic Times reviews have rocked!

With buzz words like “expertly built” and “laugh-out-loud funny”…what’s not to love?

So here it is:

“This is a humorous tale of love, laughter and cooking. When they’re faced with some unusal problems, like an exploding chicken during a cooking lesson, the protagonists’ relationship developes into love. The sexual tension is expertly built and the love scenes are steamy. Readers will have fun reading this laugh-out-loud tale.

SUMMARY: For her 30th birthday, Cara Thomas receives an unexpected present from her mother: cooking lessons. Since she’s a disaster in the kitchen, this gift has little appeal. But it puts her in the presence of Mike Nichols, who’s giving cooking lessons to increase publicity at his restaurant. He doesn’t think there will be anyone interesting in the group, until he meets Cara. Trying to prove his attraction becomes difficult when someone sabatoges Cara’s efforts. A Sure Thing gets 5 Fallen Angels

Cara Thomas is an intelligent, voluptuous woman whose mother has just given her the fabulous birthday gift of cooking lessons with local celebrity chef Mike Nichols. The problem is that Cara loathes cooking. But when her friend Riva tells her that the sexy chef is a sure thing, Cara reluctantly agrees to take the cooking classes.

Chef Mike doesn’t want to teach silly cooking classes to a bunch of housewives and socialites. He prefers to spend his time in the kitchen actually cooking. But when his co-owner and ex-girlfriend Felicia manages to have the classes taped for a local television station for publicity for their restaurant, Mike hesitantly agrees.

The first class begins and a gaggle of giggling blondes arrive for their lessons. Standing out in the crowd is a stunning redhead that steals Mike’s breath away. He tries to get close to the beautiful woman, but unfortunately what commences is a comedy of mishaps every time Cara touches anything remotely connected to the kitchen. Mike has to come to Cara’s rescue over and over again. Undeterred, Mike pursues Cara with a single-minded determination, impressing the feisty redhead…in and out of the kitchen.

Brit Blaise has written a fabulously entertaining novel with A Sure Thing. Similar to consuming a mélange of culinary delights, my literary taste buds were laughing one moment and aroused the next. Mike is incredibly patient with the foibles that inevitably occur when Cara enters his kitchen, and she recovers well from the miniature disasters. Both are bound and determined to discover just who could possibly be sabotaging Cara’s lessons. At least, they are when they’re not arousing each other to distraction!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading A Sure Thing and can’t wait to see what Ms. Blaise comes up with next!
