SInce I’ve already jinxed it…

This book was released almost a year ago and just yesterday I mentioned to Rachel, a local writer, that it was listed in All Romance’s Top Ten in Romantic Comedy.

Hence the jinx…for the first time in a long time it dropped to number eleven.  The same thing happened with Wild Cowboy Domination.

As soon as I mentioned how well it was doing…BAM!

It dropped in the Shapeshifter list.

How important are the lists to you when you pick a book?

Hi Brit! I came by to visit and say hello and check too what I missing. Huge congrats on being a finalist for Brava! When will you hear about if you got a contract for your book?

I only missed a few of yours (got to change that soon) but that was one of them. Do you think lists drop with more releases that come out? I check the best sellers list mostly to see what I missed! I don’t just depend no more on the Best Sellers in the stores, , I learned that long ago. When I had my kids as babies, I didn’t read as much as I wanted to (and it was before computers so to find a romance, I had to go though many shelves in library where everything is just together in one place). What mostly happened was I’d get books that I saw on display on the store because I assume those were the best to read. I ended up reading almost all straight suspense which I got so burned out of. I like a variety to read. For me it works for me to check out the new releases, the genres, my favorite authors and debut authors. Most of the time looking at the best seller list is an after thought and then I check those out too. But my decision is made on what I’d love to read.
