About Brit...

Brit Blaise grew up with a deep and abiding love for books. She believes in dark and dangerous heroes; strong women who aren't afraid to think for themselves; head-over-heels love; fairy tale endings and that it's more fun to laugh than to cry, but doing both at the same time is best of all.

Master Storyteller

Brit Blaise is a master storyteller. The characters in Time Thieves jump off the pages and the storyline is both action packed and exciting. The love scenes are so hot you'll be challenged to catch your breath. I hope that this is the beginning of a wonderful new series because I would love to hear Peck's tale. Or Lawzard's. - Two Lips

I have a wonderful new blog with my fabulous critique group… www.butterscotchmartinigirls.com

Come and check it out. I’ve been in this group since October of 2004. Just two of the original four of us remain, Tina Gerow and myself. Alexis moved away and is greatly missed. Plus she left us hanging in the middle of a really good story.

Bev joined us not too long after our inception and is always a big encouragement. Pat and Paula have come and gone, but Paula found a writing home with Whiskey Creek Press and Pat has book coming from Five Star. Now, Isabella and Carol have joined while I was away in Ohio.

In the beginning we met at Ray’s pizza, about five miles from me. Both Alexis and I live way out of Phoenix and the girls would travel out here for our meetings. Those were some of the most productive evenings I’ve ever spent. Tina wrote Into a Dangerous Mind, and I worked on Dance with the Devil. My original manuscript is still being sent out…while I went on to publish with Romance at Heart and Amber Quill Press.

Tina and I just finished a project together; Knights of the Magical Realm: Warriors Gone Wild with Triskelion Publishing. It’s out in eBook now and coming in print.

I also have a contract with Avalon, Thoroughly Mannerly Millicent, I wrote with the help of my critique group in about three weeks time. I can’t say enough about finding a good critique group to help keep you motivated as a writer.

Could Lawzard be gay?

I’ve been busy writing the next warrior’s story and brainstorming another Cave Creek Cowboy. Check out my blog at www.Cavecreekcowboys.com and I’m trying each day to surf the blogs I love and say a few words.

I set up an author’s profile on Amazon.com this week. I should have done it long ago, but there isn’t, or at least I haven’t found, a master list of things to do once you’ve published a book. I didn’t know until today, if I put “Brit Blaise” into the search engine at Borders.com, 16 books are listed.

I’ve been working on my website lately, but it’s the quickest way to ensure a headache. I think it’s because I’ll make a change and as soon as I finish, I remember something else that needs to be done. And so on and so on.

Now back to the warriors…the more I hang around Peck and Lawzard, I’m wondering if they’re falling in love and Peck just doesn’t know it yet. What do I do if two of the best hunks in my story are gay?

#1 Best Seller for August at Amber Quill!

Number ONE top seller for August!

Rhyme or Reason?

Time.
My enemy or friend?

Moments.
They are both dear and unappreciated.

Seconds.
They slip through my fingers.

Minutes.
I’m beginning to panic.

Hours.
Where have they gone?

Days.
How many remain?

Years.
I can’t think so far ahead.
The pull of the past stops me from living today.

surfing for reviews, I found another one!

Monkey Around is one hilarious romp. This is not your usual see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil monkey biz story. This is a read that almost has you rolling on the floor. Tonia and Payton are not only uproarious but a hoot in their situations. I had fun picturing their expressions. Not to mention when Tonia went to meet his mom. Brit Blaise writes a most creative read that will have the reader thinking about it hours later. The delightful characters and spinning frolics are an eye-opening experience. This story had me hooked at the beginning and never let go until the end. I loved it.
