About Brit...

Brit Blaise grew up with a deep and abiding love for books. She believes in dark and dangerous heroes; strong women who aren't afraid to think for themselves; head-over-heels love; fairy tale endings and that it's more fun to laugh than to cry, but doing both at the same time is best of all.

Master Storyteller

Brit Blaise is a master storyteller. The characters in Time Thieves jump off the pages and the storyline is both action packed and exciting. The love scenes are so hot you'll be challenged to catch your breath. I hope that this is the beginning of a wonderful new series because I would love to hear Peck's tale. Or Lawzard's. - Two Lips

The meaning of Thanksgiving…

I commented on the site of an Aussie mom who is trying to understand our American Thanksgiving… http://miscmum.blogspot.com/ where I pointed out, I may not be the best person to answer this question. I said:
“I may be jaded, but I think the meaning of Thanksgiving has gotten lost in the mashed potatoes and gravy. Or did someone stick the meaning behind the big screen TV so they could catch a glimpse of it during one of the big games? This is a holiday for everybody but the cook…and chief dishwasher and diaper changer…
I was right. I am jaded!”
I’d like a man’s response to this…

I’d like to hear a guy’s response too! Women get lumped with the jobs…we’re all probably as jaded as you are!

I had two butterscotch martinis today (not organic) and the watched The Davinci Code with the family…this was after the turkey, stuffing, candied yams, mash potatoes and gravy, pumpkin pound cake with cream cheese frosting, and Texas Sheet Cake…and I’m proud to say all of it was organic, every single morsel with the except of the baking soda.
We ate early and Tiff, Corey and I played a game of Risk that went about three hours. This has been a really good day.
Now we are going to watch Survivor and go to bed early so we can be ready for Black Friday.

  3. Rita Says:

Sounds like you had a totally cool Thanksgiving! Unfortunately we don’t celebrate it over here, would have been nice to have it though *grin* Just one question why Black Friday?

  4. Brit Blaise Says:

It’s called “Black Friday” because the stores are operating in the “red” until that day. In one single day, they can show a gain for the year…it’s insane. People start lining up at 4:00AM to get bargains.

  5. Rita Says:

Eeekkkk can not see myself getting up to be at the front door by 4am *lol* Heck I do love shopping and getting bargains but that sounds really hectic, not to mention too much chaos. Thanks for the explanation and hope you all get super bargains *grin*
